Ready At Dawn Moving Away From PSP
If you've already had a chance to play through the amazing God of War: Chains of Olympus, you're probably wondering what Ready at Dawn's next PSP project will be. Or, if you don't own a PSP, perhaps you're hoping the developers will port Chains of Olympus to the PS2, which has been rumored before.
However, Ready at Dawn killed two rumors with one stone over at their official site. First of all, the team says they will be moving away from Sony's handheld and intend to focus on other projects for other platforms. They also clarify that their stellar action title will not end up on the PS2 because, and we quote- "We like our games PSP exclusives." While most might believe the game would make for an excellent PS2 port, and Ready at Dawn could take advantage of that installed user base of 120 million+, it really ain't going to happen. And the next time you see a project from these guys, it won't be for the PSP. This may come as bad news to fans of Chains of Olympus, but we prefer to look at it another way.
Obviously, these guys know what they're doing. So wouldn't it be exciting if they lent their considerable skill to a future PlayStation 3 project? Sony Santa Monica is handling God of War III, but Ready at Dawn could do whatever they wanted for next-gen consoles. We'll definitely be interested to hear what they plan to do for the future.
