Chains Of Olympus Headed To Japan

It's no surprise that North American gamers appreciate Kratos and his brutal brand of justice more than Japanese gamers, but that doesn't mean the best PSP title of the year shouldn't arrive in the Land of the Rising Sun.

According to GameSpot Japan, Capcom has announced that they will release God of War: Chains of Olympus in Japan some time this summer. There isn't an exact release date as of yet, but for handheld owners over there, we expect they're hoping for sooner rather than later. Granted, something like Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII will continue to top the "must-have" PSP software list for Japan, but we're thoroughly convinced they'll love Chains of Olympus to death. How could they not? We're talking about one of the most accomplished games in recent memory, even it it's not technically a next-gen God of War, and all fans of the hobby love awesome games!

We'll let you know as soon as we hear anything about a release date, and we wouldn't rule out the possibility of a special PSP pack featuring Ready at Dawn's stellar title. Remember, Japan seems to get all those designer colors for the handheld, so why not a fantastic bundle to get everyone interested in Chains of Olympus? Sounds like win-win to us.
