Crisis Core: 1.2 Million Sold Worldwide
Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII and God of War: Chains of Olympus are quite possibly the two best PSP games to date, and Square-Enix's effort has topped 1.2 million units sold worldwide.
According to French gaming site Play France, Square-Enix has confirmed that Crisis Core has sold a grand total of 1.25 million units; 800,000 in Japan and 450,000 in the US. That number is only going to increase, too, because the awesome action/RPG isn't even available in Europe yet. It's set to release on June 20, though, so just be patient, Euro PSP owners! The Final Fantasy franchise typically does quite well in Europe, and it won't be any surprise at all if another half-million copies are sold after June 20. For those of you in the US who haven't had the pleasure (it released here on March 25), we strongly suggest adding to the sales total by picking it up ASAP. No, it's not the FFVII remake we've all been waiting for, but can you really complain about a FFVII prequel? Of course you can't; especially not when it's this good.
We expect Crisis Core to top the million mark in Japan alone before the end of the year, too. It's a can't-miss for all gamers on the go!

Even though you know his fate, when it happens, you kinda slowly realize what's going on. You're fighting and then all of a sudden, you're like, "Oh no...this is it".

Also side bit, Square-Enix released there sales numbers for the last fiscal year (FY07) and it was down 2 million from the year before (FY06). My opinion, Square-Enix maybe thats everyones way of saying, "Don't mock the PS2, PS3 and PSP. If you ignore them, your gonna get it..."
Closing Statement: I don't care if there are 43 Million NDS' sold worldwide or the Wii is selling like hotcakes. Crisis core for the PSP is Square-Enix's best selling game in the last year. And that itself is a testament to the PSP's ability to sell games.

I can't wait for this game to come out in UK. I haven't played a FF game since FFX. I do have FFXII but I imported the special limited edition that apparently according to the seller, was only available exclusivily in selected stores in the US and it is extremely rare so this game doesn't work on my pal PS3. There was no limited edition out in EU so at least its extremely rare in Europe.
