Crytek Seeking PSP Programmer
Ready at Dawn has already moved past the PSP - after delivering one of the best handheld titles ever in God of War: Chains of Olympus - so perhaps we need another top-notch developer to back Sony's portable. Could it be that Crytek, the masterminds behind Crysis for the PC, might be trying their hand at it? Well, according to a recent job posting, it seems inevitable...
If you take a gander at this position listing over at Crytek's website, you'll see it very clearly: they're looking for a PSP programmer. We can only begin to wonder what Crytek project may be on tap for the PSP, which has enjoyed a healthy resurgence as of late. There have been plenty of rumors flying around about Crytek jumping on the PlayStation 3 development bandwagon, so if those rumors are true, perhaps they want to give another Sony platform a shot. Of course, one could consider the idea that Crysis could come to the PSP, but we find that highly unlikely. That's one game that probably wouldn't survive the heavy transition very well, and we honestly don't want to see them try.
But at the same time, there's no doubt that Crytek knows what they're doing when it comes to game development, so we have high expectations. As soon as we hear more about this, we'll be sure to let you know.
