PSP News: Famitsu Confirms PSP Sequels For Patapon And LocoRoco

Famitsu Confirms PSP Sequels For Patapon And LocoRoco

Love unique, colorful and even musical puzzle games? Than you have probably already played Patapon and LocoRoco for the PSP, and there's a darn good chance you enjoyed them. Therefore, this is good news for you.

According to PSPHyper, this week's Famitsu has revealed that two new sequels have been confirmed for the PSP: yep, Patapon 2 and LocoRoco 2. Of course, as is typically the case with Japanese-based titles, they have only been announced for Japan thus far; Patapon 2 is slated for a Winter 2008 release while LocoRoco 2 is still undated. However, even though we can't say for a fact that both will come to North America, we imagine there's a 99% chance they're coming. Both of the original titles not only released here in the States, they also received widespread critical acclaim and garnered plenty of fans. There's really nothing stopping a U.S. release for either title, so you needn't worry.

We may have to wait for more news on these until the Tokyo Game Show in September; they're not likely to make an appearance at E3 next week. But hey, if you haven't played both of the original games yet, you can always head out and pick 'em up.

I still have both of these great games and will probably never get rid of em. I hope they keep LocoRoco true to the original. I bought the LocoRoco PSN game the other day and don't like it too much.
