More Disgaea Love For PSP
Ever since the original launched to wide critical acclaim on the PS2, everything has been coming up roses for Nippon Ichi's popular strategy/RPG franchise, Disgaea. The third installment, Disgaea 3: Absense of Justice, just released on August 26 for the PlayStation 3, and the PSP got a dose of turn-based strat fun with Disgaea: Afternoon of Darkness earlier this year.
But Nippon Ichi is far from done in regards to Sony's handheld. According to Dengeki Online and translated by GameSpot, it seems yet another entry in the long-running series will go portable, and it certainly has a funny name. It's called Prinny: Ore ga shyujinkou de iinsuka, which apparently translates to, Prinny: Is It Really OK That I'm The Main Character?. ...if true, that's going to rank right up there in the annals of video game title history, won't it? If you're familiar with these games, you know the Prinnies are little suicidal penguins that can either attack or blow themselves up to inflict damage. For a particularly hilarious comic that will present the Prinny even better, visit the boys at Penny Arcade. "Look! A Prinny! Can I keep him?" "Can you keep your demon penguin? No."
Sadly, we have no idea if this new Disgaea PSP title will make it out of Japan, but hey, haven't all other installments in the series come to the U.S.? Are we missing any? Of course, Europe is still waiting on Disgaea 3 but the Euro gamers are used to that by now. Stay tuned for more on Is It Really OK If I'm The Main Character? God, that title just rules.
