LocoRoco 2 Hits U.S. On February 10
Someone somewhere gave LocoRoco the appropriate title of "happiest game ever," and that's exactly the kind of experience we need in the dreary month of February. PS3 owners have plenty to look forward to that month, but PSP owners will get something that's on the opposite end of the spectrum...
Yeah, Killzone 2 arrives for the PS3, but LocoRoco 2 releases for the PSP. So there. According to a post at the official PlayStation blog by SCEA Santa Monica Producer Tsubasa Inaba, this highly anticipated follow-up to the 2006 handheld hit is scheduled to launch in North America on February 10. Loaded up with even more content than the original title, Inaba says gamers can expect even more "gameplay enhancements," plus new "story-driven stages, unlockable quests, and a new twist to the game's catchy music." And for those of you who absolutely cannot live without multiplayer, for the people who sit in a little circle on the subway going to work, hooking up for a quick multi round, they're adding ad-hoc multiplayer to LocoRoco 2. Inaba posted up a brand new trailer, too, so be sure to check it out. This is one game that ought to make you smile, regardless of what the weather is doing outside!
We'd also like to see it come to the PSN as a downloadable title for PS3 owners. This option already exists in Japan so we don't see any reason why North America should be left out of the loop. The more people who have an opportunity to kick back and relax with a game like LocoRoco 2, the better. Seriously, it can promote world peace.
