Jak And Daxter: The Lost Frontier For PSP, PS2 Announced
No, it's not an April Fool's joke. 'sigh' We can't wait until this day is finally over and we don't have to add this verification to the start of a significant news article.
Anyway, Sony has sent out a press release, outlining the brand new Jak and Daxter: The Lost Frontier for the PSP and PS2. It's scheduled to release this fall and "will pick up from where the original Jak and Daxter left off." The Lost Frontier ought to be an immersive and colorful atmosphere, and you will traverse it with the goal of assisting Keira on her "quest to become a Sage and save the world from the threat of darkness." Now, we're going to see a bit of a departure from the standard platforming style as Jak will take to the skies in "five different aircrafts," and you will even be able to take down enemies with something called a Gunstaff that will nail airborne foes. The development team behind this production is High Impact Games, who were responsible for the solid Ratchet and Clank: Size Matters, so we're hoping for a worthwhile experience. Fans of the original PS2 Jak and Daxter will note the re-introduction of "Daxter" in the title, as the duo kinda went their separate ways in the past.
You may recall Daxter for the PSP, which was another top-quality platformer. But now, the heroes will be reunited, and although it's not a next-gen adventure, it's still worthy of your attention. More on this in the near future.

And as for the whole Sony's interest on the PSP...well - a Jak and Daxter game should help it out as well.
It's just good business. But...again like I said...it's not being developed by Naughty Dog here - don't expect the same Jak and Daxter and plus if they change the voice actors that'd suck.
