Tekken 6 Confirmed For PSP
We've got more good PSP news for you: while everyone is aware that Tekken 6 is on the way for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 later this year, it has now been confirmed that the sixth installment in the long-running fighting series will also go portable.
According to IGN, Namco Bandai has issued a press release that outlines the PSP version - set to release alongside the console iterations - and we can expect "additional stages, content, items, and an ad-hoc multiplayer mode using 'original' and 'fan favorite characters.'" It'll be fantastic for handheld aficionados and here's a snippet from the press release to keep your interest pegged to the maximum:
"A must-have for Tekken aficionados, Tekken 6 sees the return of many familiar faces as well as new characters to create the largest line-up the series has ever seen. With a growing roster of fighters, each equipped with their own deadly techniques, martial art moves, and attack combinations, Tekken 6 will be the best 'King of Iron Fist Tournament' yet. Adding to the already rich gaming experience, a deeper character customization feature will only enhance the incredible fighting intensity as players go mano-y-mano."
You've probably already heard that Soul Calibur: Broken Destiny will also be headed to the PSP, so fans of the rejuvenated fighting genre ought to be plenty excited. Sony has said, time and time again, that there will be plenty of "AAA" software for the PSP this year, and it seems like every time we turn around, another game gets announced. So whether they launch a new PSP model or not, the must-have software should still be pouring off the shelves.

Let's see we have the rumors of a new PSP model without UMD, even including a bigger screen, and possible other capability such as touch screen or phone capabilities. Then there are the games....oh and what games. LBP, Gran Tuismo, Tekken 6, Soul Calibur, Astonisha (Crimson Gem), Jak and Daxter, Monster Hunter, and MotorStorm - and that's just a quick list. So many games, so little time.....
Either way, there are surely a lot of 360 and PS2/PS3 gamers out there who are not yet into portable gaming. A new model PSP (or even a PSP-3000 with 8GB MemoryStick) would be very attractive along with this lineup of games.
I can't wait, there should be fireworks at E3.

All you need to do is google a 4-8GB MemoryStick Pro Duo, I paid $40 for an 8GB stick a few months ago, they should be pretty common at that price (or there abouts) now. With a PC or PS3 to act as a host, you can stretch that 8GB pretty much as much as you like. besides the vast majority of games come no where close to the 1.8GB capacity of an UMD, so with an 8GB stick, you won't have to worry.
