Dissidia Gets PAL Release Date
It's easily one of the most anticipated portable releases of 2009 and up until now, PAL gamers have been without a concrete launch date.
Dissidia: Final Fantasy is slated to release on August 25 here in the US and although Square-Enix has often said a PAL/European release wouldn't be too far behind, fans of the long-running franchise wouldn't be satisfied until that date arrived. Well, here it is: according to Final Fantasy Union, Dissidia will be made available in PAL territories on September 4, a mere 10 days after the North American launch. At the same time, Square-Enix revealed the box art and details for the Limited Edition, which features all sorts of cool stuff: a soundtrack CD, a 48-page hardcover artwork book, a 32-page Brady Games Official Miniguide, exclusive Lithograph Prints and of course, a copy of the hotly anticipated game. While it's true that Japanese gamers have been enjoying Dissidia since late last year (December 18, 2008), North American and European Final Fantasy fans have long since gotten used to waiting for the completion of the lengthy localization process. This is why we're going to be waiting for Final Fantasy XIII, too, but there really isn't any way around that right now.
European/PAL gamers are also familiar with waiting even longer than their pals across the sea but this time, the difference is only about a week. That ain't so bad, right?
