Rumor: Uncharted 2 Seen On PSP Go
Uncharted 2: Among ThievesMany of the industry's biggest franchises are making their way to the PSP. This includes names like Assassin's Creed, Metal Gear Solid, and Gran Turismo. Might we be able to add Uncharted to the list...?
The latest handheld rumor is a big one: it seems a screenshot has been found that proves Uncharted 2: Among Thieves will be headed to the PSP Go later this year. A PlayStation 3 exclusive, Naughty Dog's sequel is guaranteed to be one of the hottest games of 2009, and it might make perfect logical sense to release it in a portable format. They talk about the supposed Uncharted 2 screenshot for the PSP Go over at ScrewAttack, and as you can see, they cite the recent edition of the official PlayStation magazine. The pics clearly show Uncharted 2 on the PSP Go, and that's a very big deal if it proves true. The only problem we have with this is Naughty Dog themselves: they have said in the past that they have no intention of bringing Uncharted to the PSP, and furthermore, they just recently said they didn't include split-screen co-op in the PS3 version for fear of sacrificing visual quality. ...well, porting this game to the PSP Go is the epitome of sacrificing said visual quality, right? But perhaps that's a stretch, and we're just being negative. Apparently, those shots look real enough, so we'll just have to wait and see; an official confirmation or denial shouldn't be too far off.
And if it doesn't happen, don't despair. Really, there are plenty of other great games scheduled for the PSP and PSP Go; that library will significantly increase in size and quality before 2009 is over.

I think you took the "visual" quality statement too generally. I believe he meant that he didn't want to sacrifice the game ON the PS3 as it is going to be a flagship title (possibly game of the year candidate) this year. Anyways, I'm sticking with my "video" theory on Uncharted for the PSP Go!

With the speed that ND is able to refine their current engine, and such, it wouldn't surprise me to see a PSP version...but, I doubt they'd put off Uncharted 2 for the PS3, in order to get a working engine on PSP.

It's very likely that ND just wanted to give us the option to play it that way, not sure I will use it as it will look soo much better on my HDTV.

Also it is not impossible that another company or some branch within Sony have been set to make the PSP version of the game.

they refuse to put in split screen co-op because it will "hinder the graphics"so they go and port it to the psp.
???????????????????????????????
if theres 1 game i want on psp its devil may cry.
that would be so cool.
and a new god of war and a new syphon filter.
if we got those than mayb i would FINALY have a reason to get a psp.
