PSP Bundles Include Final Fantasy VII PSN Voucher In Japan
While video games are definitely a worldwide phenomenon these days, Final Fantasy fans in North America and Europe still know what it's like to play second fiddle to Japan.
As most of you know, Final Fantasy VII is currently available for download on the PlayStation Store. This momentous event caused over 100,000 people to snag this digital version of an RPG classic in the first three weeks, and now, even more gamers are gonna be grabbing it online. According to FinalFantasyUnion, Amazon is now listing Limited Edition PSP bundles for Japan that include vouchers to download FFVII. These bundles are going for 20,000 yen (about $210), and you can bet that this added incentive is going to fuel sales. The only question is whether or not such a deal will eventually come to the US/Europe. There are plenty of FF aficionados out there who don't yet own a PSP, and this could be the perfect way to appeal to that specific group of gamers. We're already seeing special editions of certain retail games that include PSN voucher codes; for instance, the upcoming Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Prestige Edition will feature a voucher to download the original CoD.
And when it comes to Final Fantasy, fans can go absolutely crazy for something like this. Really, you get a PSP and a free voucher to get FFVII off the Network. What's wrong with that?

please focus the attention on completing the FF13, v13 and restore the true talent of the Square Soft. Stop using different ways of making money out of the same thing again and again and again

As long as SE are making money (and Sony too) off FFVII on Sony platforms it's a good thing. Maybe it'll convince SE and Sony to being FFVIII as well as convincing SE that the Sony platform is fundamentally more friendly to them and their business than another platform.
