PSP Go Peripherals Announced, Priced

The news continues to flow into our inbox as the Tokyo Game Show rolls on. This new announcement reveals all the nifty peripherals that will be available for the PSP Go; cool stuff here!

Leading the pack are the Bluetooth Stereo Headset Receiver and Converter Cable Adapter; both of which will go on sale on December 24 in Japan and certainly become primary accessories for the proud PSP Go owners. The receiver has a "sleek design that matches perfectly with the PSP Go" and it will allow users to "instantly play, stop, pause, forward, rewind, and adjust the volume of music and videos." Its Multi-Pairing feature will let the headset link to up to eight other Bluetooth devices and as for the converter cable, this will let you "utilize the existing peripherals for the PSP designed for PSP-1000, 2000 and 3000 series on the PSP Go system." The rest of the incoming peripheral list looks like this:

  • Cradle ($29.99)
  • AV Cale ($19.99)
  • Component AV Cable ($29.99)
  • USB Cable ($14.99)
  • AC Adapter ($14.99)
  • Display Protection Film, 2-pack ($9.99)
  • Traveler Case, in either Blue or Black ($19.99)
  • Soft Carrying Case ($14.99)
  • In-Ear Headset ($19.99)
  • 2GB Memory Stick Micro and Duo Adapter ($19.99)
  • 4GB Memory Stick Micro and Duo Adapter ($34.99)
  • 8GB Memory Stick Micro and Duo Adapter ($49.99)

You will see that 8GB Memory Stick Micro "shortly after launch" in Japan but some of these accessories may not see the light of day until January 2010 in North America and Europe. We do expect a few to be available for the October 1 launch, though, so definitely be sure to look around when at the store to make your PSP Go purchase.

It's almost hard to believe that the company that is releasing this expensive device along with these expensive peripherals is the same company that let's me put a 55usd hdd in my PS3. Sony! For the love of PETE! USE SD CARDS!

sony are starting to be the new M$.
450AUD for the PSP GO?
THATS 50 BUCKS LESS THAN A PS3!
THATS 200 BUCKS MORE THAN A PSP 3000!
you have to be mc fricken INSANE! to spend 450 bucks on a hand held.
assuming those prices are in US dollars.
the memory sticks are a absolute RIP OFF!
50 bucks for a 8GB memory stick?
i just bought 1 16GB and 1 32GB memory stick yesterday from MSY and they totaled out to 70 AUD.
sony, come on you dont want to continue ripping off your customers like this.
you dont have a good reputation as it is, and we all know what reputation being a greedy money grubbing selfish bastard gets you.
just ask bobby kotik or M$ im sure they will be more than happy to fill you in.
