PSP Go Slated To Release With 225 Downloadable Games
The PSP Go is an all-digital, miniaturized gaming and media wonder that is bound to appeal to all you gadget and portable junkies. But you may not yet have all the awesome details...
The launch numbers are actually downright staggering: upon its October 1 launch - despite the lack of a UMD-to-Digital conversion program - there will be 16,000 pieces of digital content available, and that includes 225 downloadable titles (featuring all PSP games, UMD legacy titles and Minis), 2,300 movies, and 13,300 TV episodes. Some of the top handheld experiences you won't want to miss are God of War: Chains of Olympus and Gran Turismo PSP. If you need another option for nabbing content off the PSN, you should be able to pick up PlayStation Network Game Cards at your local retailer; these are voucher codes that will let new PSP Go owners download full titles. In this fashion, you can add the likes of Patapon 2, Twisted Metal: Head-On, and Secret Agent Clank (among others) to your new library. So even though you won't be able to immediately transfer your UMD collection to this new PSP iteration, you'll certainly have plenty to do and see. Perhaps this amount of content makes the relatively steep $250 price tag a bit more agreeable...? Some may see it this way.
We'll certainly be interested in seeing how the PSP Go fares during the upcoming holiday rush, and with plenty of stuff populating the PSN, that should be the primary appeal right off the bat.

So in essence, instead of purchasing Dirt 2 now or Unchartered 2 etc; I could wait until they age a bit and drop in price before purchasing those titles therefore, indirectly, permitting me to purchase a GO as the costs across both the games and the GO would balance out. Sony know people are not prepared to wait, they are too tempted to buy now now now, and that is how people get caught out to some degree.
It all depends on how you want to balance your budget and be sensible with your purchases... I still have games from a while back I haven't finished yet or made full use of, like Little Big Planet. I am missing plenty of trophies for Killzone 2 still and haven't finished the single player campaign yet. I haven't completed Dirt 1 yet... the list goes on... surely I can wait for price drops then :)

The price is a bit high and with out knowing what their plan is for UMD to digital conversion, I will most likely wait until the price comes down.

And let's be honest is it really that big of a pain to carry around a few umds that are the size of a pringle.
At the end of the day any advantage the Go has over my 1000 is something I can deal with given the Gos bloated price and those advantages being slim.

In all likelyhood I'll be waiting till the price goes down or until a PSP2 comes out. I love my 1000 and planned on keeping it regardless. Thanks again LV!
You know where I can a bigger memory card for cheap? The cheapest I can find is 70 bucks for 16gb. Is there a 32gb made?
