PSXE Poll Update: Gamers Will Be Selective In Q4

While I personally have a sneaking suspicion that the mass media helped to create a recession where one didn't really exist simply in order to generate an excuse to bail out American car companies, some people are still a little light in the pockets.

And this sort of came through in our recent poll; either that, or we've got some smart, selective gamers who aren't about to spend their hard-earned money on every last good title that comes down the pike. Perhaps available time is a bit of an issue, too. The majority of PSXE readers polled said they'd buy 3-5 games during the holiday rush, which may seem like a good chunk, but over 1,100 of the 1,500 or so individuals won't buy any more than five games over the next three months. Of course, I imagine many of you are hoping you won't have to buy a few of the games you desperately want; maybe you're just overloading your holiday wish list. But either way, this poll suggests that it'll be an ultra-competitive marketplace as many big games strive to stand out in the crowd. The consumers are only going to shell out for the best of the best, so developers and publishers had best deliver their best efforts possible!

This week, we'd like to know how many of you are planning on a PSP Go purchase. It launches on Thursday, October 1, and we'd like to think there are plenty of excited people out there. But with a $250 price tag and a lack of a UMD-to-digital conversion program right now, some of you are likely to wait a bit...and don't worry, that's one of the options. Vote now! :)
