XSEED Prepares Limited Edition For Lunar PSP Remake

Just to my left, there sits a pile of old PS1 games that don't quite fit in the cabinet where most of the collection resides. Right in the middle of that pile, standing out in all its old-school Working Designs Glory, is the big box for Lunar: Silver Star Story Complete.

If any of you are familiar with the Working Designs/Game Arts standard packaging back in the day, you know you got all sorts of extra goodies with every release. It's like they were all Collectors Editions; SSSC came with the soundtrack, cloth map, and a few other little things, for example. Well, when the PSP remake arrives next year, you will have the option of a similar package, although there will also be a standard release as well. According to Gaming Bits, publisher XSEED Games is preparing a Limited Edition for Lunar: Silver Star Harmony and it will include the official soundtrack and 13 exclusive Bromide collector cards. For those of you who don't know, bromides were simple pictures of each character, but they were sometimes difficult to obtain in the game. This Limited Edition will cost $10 more than the regular edition, which means you can grab the extra stuff for $39.99. Working Designs may be no more but it's good to know that some semblance of Lunar's hardcore JRPG past will be evident.  Gotta love those bromides.

If you've never had the pleasure, you should definitely give Harmony a try. Most RPG fans will tell you that this is one role-playing adventure that remains close to their hearts.

I think this is going to be awesome for PSP guys. But I just hate that alot of you missed out on the PS1 remakes. I mean you got alot of COOL stuff in thier remakes and it didnt feel cheap. I will never forget pulling out the necklace you got from the second one, Eternal Blue. It is VERY WELL BUILT MOON AMULET that looks fantastic.

I have played the Lunar games so many times I think I will skip the psp version. But for those who havent played them yet please get them. They have great stories.

End of Line.

ahh nice to see the PSP getting some love.
there is no where near enough games released on that system.
you look at all the best multiplats in the past few years and 99.99% of them are not on the PSP.
MW2.
assassins creed 2.
the saboteur.
batman AA.
resident evil 5.
devil may cry 4.
prototype.
red faction guerrilla.
GTAIV.
and so on.

out of all the games released on PSP theres only 5 i would concider a buy.
resistance retribution.
syphon filter dark mirror.
syphon filter logans shadow.
ratchet and clank size matters
and god of war chains of Olympus.
thats it.
5 games in what 4 years?
thank god you can play PS1 classics on the PSP otherwise mine would be cased in dust by now and ive only had it roughly 6 weeks.

sony seriously needs to get their act together and release some exclusives.
and third party developers need to start porting their games over to the PSP not only consoles.

the PSP was made to play games too.

ok add a extra 2 to the list.
in comparison to what the DS has its minuscule.
theres plenty of shooters (as usual) they need some good action games like GOW and some platforming games like ratchet and clank or infamous.
a DMC game would be freaking awesome on the PSP.

Not to mention, Tekken5:DR, Soul Calibur, Locorocho 1&2, Patapon 1&2, Wipeout Pure/Pulse, MotorStorm: AE, Metal Gear's, LBP, Gran Turismo PSP, FF7:Crisis Core, FFT (and a whole host of other jrpg's), and the list goes on. And when we remember that a lot of these games support online play, is it a surprise that I had more fun on my psp than on my ps3 and 360 early in the generation? The PSP doesn't get the love it deserves, but Sony hasn't fallen short in supporting this portable beast of a home console. So let me put it this way, even if you don't play on the go much, if your ps3, or 360 craps out on you, until you get it fixed or replaced, the psp will be more than sufficient to hold you over.
