Peace Walker: "A True MGS Game In The Saga"
If you want the latest news concerning Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker, why not go straight to the source for updates?
Hideo Kojima has been Twittering a lot over the past few weeks, and his favorite topic is the upcoming blockbuster for the PSP. Remember, we're talking about a game that could very easily have been dubbed MGS5, and Kojima has said time and time again that it's a "true MGS title." He also says that Rising - the big game set for the PS3 and 360 - will "create new users" but perhaps the most encouraging comments are in regards to "PW." Here's an example:
"The idea of PW sprung from news I saw about 5 years ago. At the time, the President of Costa Rica was supporting the U.S. in the war with Iraq, and a college student took legal action and won stating that the support of war "breaches the constitution" of the country. This was a key hint for me to write a script about a "country without an army" and 'soldiers without borders.'"
And another:
"PW is going to be released as a portable game, but it is a TRUE MGS game in the saga, not a spin off. Of course, we have put a lot of power into the story. It should be pretty exciting. The potential of a portable game, an innovative system that changes the nature of future MGs is what makes this a game a title to look forward too."
Although many fans would have liked to have seen Peace Walker release on the PS3, Kojima says they've worked hard to really focus on the pluses of handheld gaming. They also wanted a new challenge, and the PSP definitely provided them with one. If you plan to snag this massively anticipated portable adventure, you should know it'll release in April in Japan and the month after in North America and Europe.

He obviously doesn't care about Microsoft
It's Konami who truly forced him to make this for the psp. Basically it was a "the new MGS must release on both consoles, and that's that, unless you want to release it a seperate MGS on a handheld which gets us lots of money in Japan, and probably the US."
I hope it gets a ps2 release in the future

Depends on how you define unsuccessful. There is no CFW for the PSP-300 or PSP-Go nor is there ever likely to be. The first two PSP models are cracked, but Sony learned a few tricks with the 3000 and Go.
Oh, and by the way, if you play PSP games that you obtained through downloads and not legitimately purchased, then you are a thief. Not a pirate, a thief.

you can call me a thief all you like highlander , your opinion has no influence whatsoever neither in my life nor my wallet, so you are entitled to think it if you want, i couldnt care less.. last game i actually "played" in a psp was chains of olympus and i actually bought that one, but who cares, this is not the place for you or me to discuss what we think of each other...
PS: you did hear me mention i have two psps right? yeah ...i bought 2,also have around 45 ps2 titles, 16 ps3 titles, and two sony lcd tvs....i seriously doubt sony would give a hoot about the 20 bucks they MIGHT lose from me because i MIGHT have liked a game ...
so ya , imo sony hasnt been all that succesful in detering software piracy for the psp systems...

You know what's funny? I said *IF* you play games you got without paying. I did not call you a thief. All I did was state, quite factually, that someone who takes and uses a piece of software without paying for it is stealing. It's dead simple, and there's no other way of looking at it. So, *if* you do that they you are a thief. Once again, there is no other interpretation of such facts. I never said that you personally do this.
Now, you are quite welcome to be all full of faux affront because of this, but you know, if the shoe fits, wear it. If you think your past actions match the criteria of stealing software, then you are what you are. Not my fault, and don't bug me for stating facts.
But you know what, that's your problem, your responsibility, and your baggage to carry.
As for Sony, they have been quite successful in locking pirates out of both the PSP-3000 and the Go. The PSP 3000 isn't perfectly free of illegitimate use, but since there is no CFW for it, it's much more inconvenient which deters piracy on that model.

As for MG Rising, that kinda ticks me off, because I remember kojima making the comment that MGS5 would take more than 1 bluray disc.
Ummmmm, yeah I don't think so, unless rising is going to be on 15 dvds for 360.

But it was hard not to be a little discouraged when I first heard that 'Peace Walker' was a PSP-only title. Of course, everything I've seen and all that Hideo has said quickly washed away my doubts and my excitement level only increases.
