PR Announcement "Finished" For "Project X"

We have no idea what it is but of course, there has been plenty of speculation over the past month or so.

We've heard that Square-Enix intends to announce something big before E3; various sources have stated the publisher's supposedly clear intention, and some PR people have also let things slip via Twitter. The latest comes from Square-Enix's David Hoffman, who has been keeping us in the loop at this Twitter page; now, he has another update that says the press announcement they've been preparing is now complete:

"The PR announcement is finished for Project X. Can't wait to get it out and watch the media do a double take!"

We still don't have anything concrete, although we probably won't have to wait much longer before everything becomes very, very public. It's a title that will likely make a big splash at E3 but obviously, given this recent tip, we should know all about it before then. In fact, I'd dare to say that the announcement will show up in our inboxes some time this coming week...and if we don't actually do a "double take," we're gonna be annoyed. And if it's just another DS title, we'll be even more annoyed.
