Split/Second Set To Explode On PSP
Split/Second is one of the more polished and entertaining games of the year. But perhaps you're on the go too often to really enjoy it on either the PlayStation 3 or Xbox 360.
The good news is that Disney plans to bring the spirited racer with an extra flash of originality to the PSP. Although they'll definitely be forced to scale back the graphics, it should still be the full Split/Second experience: for instance, those explosive "power plays" will certainly be there; these allow you to gain the edge by blowing up certain parts of the environment, thereby causing opponents to get blindsided by something big and fiery. Also, if you didn't already know, the game takes place inside a fictional reality TV show that uses city-sized sets all rigged and ready to blow, which means at any moment, you could be dodging something besides other cars. And now, it's all going portable. Said Craig Relyea, senior vice president of global marketing at Disney Interactive Studios:
"Split/Second has become a hit with fans of racing and action games, and is the perfect fit for the PSP system. The explosive track altering features and fast arcade racing will have PSP system players worldwide playing it on-the-go or at home."
The PSP version will boast "unique handling and controls designed specifically" for the platform in question, plus an exclusive new track and challenges not found in the console versions. Oh, and you'll also get the benefit of four-player local multiplayer so any time you've got some friends you wish to annihilate after becoming very familiar with the courses, toss out the "I'm gonna kick your ass" challenge. Split/Second for PSP will be ready to race later this year.

theres certain types of games you can not have on the PSP, and this is one of them.
can you imagine playing this on a tiny screen, with only one stick?
playing this on a PSP would be like playing a fighter jet sim on a PSP.
i foresee many broken PSPs, hoarse throats and torn hair!

Split/Second
