Knights In The Nightmare Comes With 2-For-1 Bonus
See, this is why Atlus might win the game maker award for Best At Catering to its Fans.
Two pieces of news from Atlus USA today- the first involves a big bonus for early adopters of their new action/RPG for the PSP, Knights in the Nightmare. All launch copies of the game, including those purchased on the PlayStation Network, will come with a free copy of Yggdra Union. So, what Atlus has dubbed a "tour de force of bullet-hell action and strategy role-playing game" will come with one of the more original yet still traditional RPG titles out there.
Originally released on the GBA and then remade for the PSP in 2008, it was called "a rare gem that manages to stay interesting after hours and hours of playtime" and given a 5/5 from GamePro. Said Aram Jabbari, Manager of PR and Sales at Atlus:
"One of the features exclusive to the upcoming PSP system release of Knights in the Nightmare is the ability to play as Princess Yggdra. How appropriate then that everyone who picks the game up at launch will receive a free copy of Yggdra Union. It's the perfect bonus at no extra cost. Fans won't want to miss out on this tremendous value, essentially getting two captivating, innovative RPG experiences for the price of one."
The second piece of news is a solidified release date for Knights in the Nightmare: it will release in stores and on the PSN on November 9, with a standard retail price tag of $29.99. To learn more about the unique adventure (what else does Atlus do besides "unique?"), head on over to the game's official site.

@ johnld - I guess so and I certainly know some who act that way. I for one view my trophies as a kind of "gaming history" if you will. A way to remember epic moments of gaming.
In fact, I'll even go so far as to say trophies make gaming more fun. Would I have played Cabela's Outdoor Adventure for more than an hour if it hadn't been for the trophies? Not likely. With the trophy support, I found myself using the bow more and caring about the integrity of the kill. All of a sudden it was fun.
The same can be said about many games. Wetworks on Vet? Yup. been there done that, got the ... trophy.

I too view trophies as gaming history, although I am a perfectionist which makes me motivated to platinum games I particularly like.
But that was my point in commenting the trophy count. His gaming repertoire is not that deep, hence his comments about a yawn at Atlus. In other words, I was pointing out that his appreciation of gaming is skin-deep to specific genres like sports and shooters.
My apologies to anyone who thinks I would compare my trophy count to someone elses. Mine isn't that large either, but they do come from a variety of genres. If I was comparing, I would have bragged about the trophies I have. With only 48 trophies, my point was that there's no way he plays a variety of games or appreciates a plethora of genres.
EDIT: My count is actually only slightly over 300 or so which isnt impressive. Some ppl in psxextreme are well over 1000. My only 4 platinums are FFXIII, MW2, ModNation, and Assassins Creed 2... So lots of different genres there!

you platinumed FF13? Respect. i know i can platinum that game, i'm pretty close too with a few trophies left. none of them is pretty hard to do. but after i've beaten the game, i couldnt get myself to play the game again. especially since i maxed out all my characters and can still get owned or have trouble with marks. i dont even want to think about that mark where theres those two guys that are immune to physical attacks. so that game is shelved and forgotten now which is kinda weird since i never had a final fantasy game like that.
Anyway, my favorite platinum i got has to be arkham asylum. i got all but 1 trophy fairly easily. but getting that last trophy after beating the shock and awe challenge with the right amount of points felt awesome. especially since i've been trying for about a day. platinumed Arkham Asylum in less than 3 days since i had to return it to gamestop. never had the money to spend on it but i just cant pass on playing it. money was tied up in another game.

LOL,
Yeah maybe, but if the collection get's any bigger, I'm either going to have to knock out all my apartment walls so I have just one humungous sized living room, or I'll just have to start heaving out all my living room furniture.
And would you believe I don't have not 1 platinum or any fully completed achievements on my PS or MS consoles?
I guess the reason that I never became a big trophy hound just because of my long back log of games I still have to(and want to) play, there's just not enough time left in the 2nd half of my century to plat them all & still have time to play all my future purchases too.
But I am getting close to plat in 3 PS3 games.
I'm already got 60% of the trophies completed in just the good-sided Cole" in infamous", 87% in "Saboteur" & 81% in Terminator Salvation, So I'll go back & try to get the rest.
Plus I'll going to see what 360 achievements I still have left to do on GTA4 I just picked up recently. Been doing some heavy playing on that game the last 1 & 1/2 weeks.
