Uncharted NGP: Naughty Dog Will Assist Sony Bend
By now, you probably know Uncharted is coming to Sony's new handheld, the Next Generation Portable.
But you might not have realized that developer Naughty Dog isn't handling this project. The design duties fall to Sony Bend, who is no stranger to bringing huge PlayStation 3 exclusive franchises to the portable world; they also produced the solid Resistance: Retribution for the PSP. However, Naughty Dog community strategist Arne Meyer told NowGamer that Sony Bend won't be all alone in this endeavor.
"We're not actually developing uncharted on NGP. We're really excited to see Uncharted on NGP, and we're working with them to make sure it's a great addition to the franchise. It's Naughty Dog's IP after all."
At first, we thought the NGP would simply receive Uncharted: Drake's Fortune in portable form, but it now appears obvious that Sony Bend is cranking on a whole new adventure. And with Naughty Dog's assistance, we'd like to think nothing can go wrong... Did Insomniac help out with Retribution? It'd be interesting if they didn't but at any rate, this new handheld Uncharted should be a big reason to own the NGP when it arrives.
We're just assuming it'll be a launch title, by the way. We have no official information on a release date for either the game or the unit in question.

Knowing the controls being corrected is enough incentive for me to rebuy the game.

This is the perfect way for Uncharted to come to a handheld. Bend are more than capable. Collaborating with Naughty Dog this will be unreal.

It seems like the NGP will have cake and the ability to eat it too. Its own exclusive games, PS3 games, PSSuite games, PSN and PS1. Android games? PS2???

But that's just me... But again I'm glad it's not a port because moat psp well and eventually the NGP owners own a PS3 as well, I assume anyways. I think I'm just being greedy because I honestly, probably won't own an NGP for awhile.
EDIT: after thinking about I think a prequel would fit well on the NGP. Like around the same time that those motion comics took place! That would make a great game for a handheld.

This should actually be really good. Bend is studio known for their third person action games, so this should be right up their alley. And considering that ND is helping them, there is no reason for this game to fall flat.
Now here's something interesting. With the development of Uncharted NGP going to Bend, who previously did R:R, it begs the question of who is going to be doing the new Resistance NGP. And that honour actually goes to Nihilistic who, unless I'm mistaken, are currently working on PSMove Heroes.
Peace.

i seriously cant believe sony is ignoring this series!
i mean it was one of the most famous series on PSN, it was one of the first exclusives on playstation to really be popular for the brand, and its one of the only games STILL exclusive to the platform.
TM got a revival, so why not this?
the greatest spy game ever made!!!!!!!!!!!!!
logans shadow is still one of my favorite games of all time!
if not a whole new game, at least give us a HD collection!
