New NGP Video Zooms In On Games
When the NGP was announced, we saw the first promotional trailer. It was slick but it didn't really show us much of the unit in question.
To get a better look, check out the newly released video below. It gives you a chance to see some of the games, along with the new touch functionality; you also might notice the use of motion-sensing Sixaxis controls, too. There's a new Hot Shots, along with a game called Gravity Daze, the Killzone adaptation for the NGP, Reality Fighters, Broken, Little Deviants, Wipeout, and oh yeah, Uncharted.
So, what do you think? It's a lot of high-definition portable goodness, yes? It seems they really are planning to release plenty of titles to go along with the device's launch, and the list of supporting developers and designers is impressive. All that's left now is to determine an exact date and price...let's just hope Sony doesn't go too nuts with the latter.

Still, I wonder about the span of the unit, that screen looks gorgeous regardless.

I joke, but I think that's why they're reluctant to use "PSP 2", for the same reason M$ didn't want the Xbox "2" to be compared to the PS "3".
Sony want to emphasize the power of the NGP, that it is closer to a PS3 than a PS2.
So, I would agree that they are trying to develop a name element rather than a number for the NGP.

will be interesting to see how well this thing sells.
i hope theres heaps of other features going with it other than HD games and trophies, because to be honest i cant see that being enough of a hook to people.
i really dont need better looking portable games, i mean look at dead space on the Iphone 4 it looks freaking amazing!
not freaking amazing for a phone game, but freaking amazing for a game full stop no matter what system!
i just look at that, and think do i really need to shell out 400+ bucks for something thats going to offer me better looking games?
ATM the answers no, so i hope sonys got allot of other tricks up there sleeve for the NGP other than HD games, otherwise i cant see this thing doing too well.
