Rumor: PSP Mini?
Let's get this out of the way first, before Gamespot accuses us of thinking it's real. This is a mock-up of what a PSP Mini could look like - it's not the real thing. That said, with the runaway success that Apple has seen with the iPod Mini, and the fact that even the GameBoy Micro is poised to sell a ton of units, it's not unreasonable to think that Sony will at some point look to redesign the PSP. Obviously the biggest change made to the system in this concept picture is that the screen is now a flip-top, which allows the buttons to be placed closer together, thus decreasing the width of the system, while at the same time protecting the screen. Other than that, there's not a whole lot different.
There's no way that anything like this is imminent, but given how fast technology changes, and taking into account the fact that the original PlayStation and the PlayStation 2 received slimmed down models, I'd say chances are pretty good that we'll one day see a sleeker, slimmer PSP.
