Final Fantasy Type-0: Square Enix's 20-Minute Demo

Previously known as "Final Fantasy Agito XIII," it's one of the most anticipated titles of the PSP generation.

But up until now, we really haven't seen much besides a few screenshots and scans. We did get the baseline information and a debut trailer, but we know handheld and Final Fantasy aficionados are anxious to see more. Well, thanks to a savvy individual with a small camera, we can see a 20-minute demonstration for Final Fantasy Type-0!

You can check out the combat after the seven and a half minute mark, and we're impressed with the backgrounds and style. Square Enix can do a great deal with the PlayStation Portable, as they've proven before, so we have confidence they can deliver an awesome handheld experience. As for Final Fantasy Versus XIII...well, that's another question entirely.

DAY1 for me. SE has let me down this generation in terms of gameplay (FFXIII) but they continue to demonstrate they know how to push the hardware of any platform they develop games for.

This game looks epic, hard to believe it's for a handheld.

If Versus looks anywhere near as good as this, which it should due to it being PS3 exclusive and developed by Nomura's team, it'll be an incredible game.

Looks great, airship, world map. Battle looks actiony but we shall see.

I foresee Versus going multiplat to make more sales since SE's evil business practices have led them to bankruptcy.

I really don't think I'll ever buy another FF product. After 13 I'm done. No fancy video for some PSP nonsense is going to change my mind now. The next time I see SE will be on the cover of Just Cause 3.

One mediocre game in the FF series and you're giving up on FF but you take whatever CallofDuty serves you....

I like how it seems like you can switch battle party leaders during battle - a feature that would've served FFXIII well.

This game certainly looks like it belongs in the same category as Final Fantasy Versus XIII.

What's with everyone wanting Versus over this? At least S-E has proven that they know how to deliver great games on the PSP (not saying that FFXIII wasn't great, it was just... I dunno. Didn't feel right). Looking slick as hell though.

FFX does not need a remake at all, I'm currently playing through it, it's great the way it is. If any FF needs a remake its 5 or 6, I would love a PSP remake to the standard of FF4 on the PSP.

They should release this for the NGP, they probably will, but then there will be no problems with turning the camera, since there's the second analog nub :D

Anyways, this is looking to be a great game nonetheless.

This game seems to be building up to an epic scale, I hope it gets the attention it deserves, maybe even more so than Versus.
