E3 2011: NGP Officially Named "Vita," Games Previewed
"Vita" means "life."
As Kaz Hirai is saying right now, it'll be the first product that truly blurs those lines between entertainment and your real life; it'll let you interact with gamers and friends like never before.
It's certainly a slick-looking device and Kaz has also announced that they'll be partnering with AT&T as the exclusive carrier in the United States. Kaz also talked about two new features - Party and Near - which will enhance the connected experience for the Vita, and "more specifics will be unveiled in the very near future."
They also moved on to show off Uncharted: Golden Abyss, which looks damn amazing on that sweet little screen! And their motto is "play the way you want;" you can either use the standard analog sticks to play, or you can use the touch-screen. We love having options, ya know. They also showed off a few other games, all of which look pretty damn cool. But the coolest? Has to be LittleBigPlanet on the Vita, which should make your trips infinitely more enjoyable in the very near future.
Still, that Street Fighter X Tekken announcement has got to satisfy the long-time fighting fans, right?

This proves that Sony learned big time from their missteps with the PSP and, to a lesser extent, the PS3. I can't think of anything else that I would want with the Vita. It's all there! And the price is the proverbial icing on the sweet cake! That's a company that listens to its valued fans. Take that S-E!

I hope you're not talking about the 3DS. The initial launch numbers for the device weren't too bad. But the numbers have been declining rapidly ever since. If the PSV launch goes well, which is a strong possibility, the 3DS may very well need a price cut just to stay competitive. If you're going to troll you can at least make sense while doing it.

On I'm not trolling. I'm just calling you out on your trolling.
Your insinuation that the 3DS is the fastest selling electronic device in history is flat out wrong. That title currently belongs to Microsoft's Kinect, although it's open to debate as to whether or not Kinect will be able to maintain that momentum and if so for how long.
And the sales of the 3DS did start out decent but are declining rapidly. This is backed up by NPD numbers.

Constantly? Everything you say?
Hardly. I've been letting a lot of what you've been saying go unanswered as of late. And let's not forget I am not the only one who sometimes calls you out. If you don't want to fight, then don't throw any punches. It's that simple.

I don't understand why Sony took the route that they did with the PSVita. They spent almost all their time talking about games that are part of big name franchises. I know that people will buy the system for those, then hopefully check out other games later, but why not take the chance to show off Gravity Daze, Little Deviants, Smart As, Broken, etc. and get hype building for those. If anything, the PSP exclusive and built franchises are some of the best that the system has: Pursuit Force, Patapon, LocoRoco. I was really let down by Sony here.

Anyways, with the price announced, I'm finding it damn near impossible to stick to my "wait 2 years" plan with all new hardware launches. Vita just looks so damn sexy and so incredibly functional for a handheld!!
Uncharted and Modnation Racers on launch? Yes Please!!!!
And Cole McGrath on SF X Tekken!!!
Killzone!! CoD!! Resistence!! MGS!! Uncharted!! Modnation!! Littlebig Planet!! Street Fighter X Tekken!! And all at an affordable price!!!
I sense a lot of stores selling out and a lot of fights breaking out over desire to own this incredible piece of gaming tech.

Why don't people consider the fact that a euro is worth a lot more than a dollar and stop making the Europeans pay too much?
