Operation Suzaku Seeks To Bring Final Fantasy Type-0 West

If there's one game that could use a localization petition, it's Final Fantasy Type-0.

It was originally announced as a mobile title, but as mobile technology hadn't advanced far enough at the time, it was then moved to the PSP. It was given the title, Final Fantasy XIII Agito back in 2008, and then Square Enix went dormant.

The game reappeared a few years later as Final Fantasy Type-0, and the game finally launched to significant critical acclaim in Japan in October 2012. However, Square Enix has refused to bring the game to other territories for some reason, and a whole lot of portable RPG fans are miffed. That's why there's Operation Suzaku, which seeks to convince the publisher to bring the acclaimed game to US shores.

Their goal was 1,000 Twitter followers, 15,000 petition signatures and 25,000 Facebook Likes. Well, they're just about there, as the petition only needs about 1,300 more signatures and all requirements will have been met. At that time, a letter will go out to Square Enix asking them to deliver Final Fantasy Type-0 to gamers around the world. Here's hoping it happens!

Please support this. I believe it actually has a good chance. Seeing as its not just an average person leading this project but the actual CEO of Square Enix America.

I'll support it, but why do most of the possible avenues say "(terminated)" after them?

The fact that this game never got localized shows just how much of a tin ear SE has overall.

I'm astonished this game has never reached over shores, I would have bought this day one. But now they have left it a bit late. Why should I buy a Vita to play a game I should have got on my PSP, Just like Why should I buy a Playstation 4 to buy the re-labeled Final Fantasy XV, when I initially bought a PLaystation 3 for it.

I would like the game, but it feels ridiculous that it has taken this long and just makes S-E look unprofessional... I honestly dont think i would buy a Vita for this and I am a big a Final Fantasy fan as anyone here...

Also I remember them talking about sequels for this, Maybe they can re-issue it like White Knight Chronicles II did with the first game. It would make a fair apology,

I'm not astonished, SE is the captain of terrible decisions.

would be best if S-E release as a PSN DL like the other classic Final Fantasy Titles. I would rather play on the Big Screen than a measly little vita screen.
