New PSP Firmware Update

It's not a huge leap forward in functionality for the PSP, but Sony Computer Entertainment America has released the v2.6 firmware update for the PSP. You won't find anything major here, but the update does make streaming audio files online easier, and it also includes support for Windows Media Audio files. Other additional features include Chinese character support for the web browser, volume adjustment to the LocationFree player and the ability to download copy-protected files directly to the memory unit.

You'll be able to download this update off of future game releases, or you can simply go to Sony's official website and download it right now.
