Race Driver 2006 For PSP Announced

Codemasters has sent word that an expanded edition of the European racer - TOCA Race Driver 2, will be released in the United States this May. The game will be known as Race Driver 2006, probably because none of us Yanks know what the heck a "TOCA" is.

Race Driver 2006 promises "real" performance cars, realistic physics and damage, all with up to 21 cars on-screen. The game features several different types of races including: GT Sports Car Racing, Street Racing, Rally, DTM, V8 Supercars, Global GT Lights, Rally Cross, Formula Ford, Open Wheel Grand Prix, Classic Car Racing, Super Truck racing, Stockcar Oval Racing, Ice-Racing, Convertible Racing, and Performance Car events.

Since we're getting the game six months late we'll also get 10 all-new international tracks, such as Nashville Super Speedway and Shanghai. Not enough? Okay, we also get more cars, like the Buick Gran Sport 455, Pontiac Firebird Formula 400, Dodge Charger, Gemballa GTR 750 EVO, Koenig GT and Koenig GTD. There are over 50 cars total.
