PSP News: Meijer Supermarket Chain Plans Midnight Madness

Meijer Supermarket Chain Plans Midnight Madness

We received a tip today that the Meijer supermarket chain plans to put the PSP on sale at 12:01 AM on Thursday.

We contacted the managers at two stores who confirmed that the PSP will go on sale at 12:01, and they also said that each store will have anywhere between 20 and 60 units on hand for sale at that time. Units will be sold 1-per-customer. There will ne no limits placed on game or accessory sales.

The chain has locations in Michigan, Illinois, Indiana, Ohio, and Kentucky. Most are open 24 hours, which means that lines are likely to form a few hours early.

Good news for those who didn't pre-order. Even if you don't have a Meijer near you, it'd be a wise idea to contact your local big chain supermarket or Best Buy to see what their plans are. Many stores are planning "midnight madness" events.
