PSP News: Monster Hunter Portable 2nd Secures 400k Pre-Orders

Monster Hunter Portable 2nd Secures 400k Pre-Orders

We've just received word through the grapevine that Capcom's Monster Hunter Portable 2nd has secured over 400,000 pre-orders in Japan. This marks the largest PSP pre-order amount ever for the PSP. It's a nice change of pace for the PSP; the console is finally getting a much deserved boost in sales all over the world, as well as phenomenal content (Metal Gear Solid: Portable Ops), and with Final Fantasy VII: Crisis Core nearing release in a few months, we expect sales of the PSP to continue to do well, perhaps even skyrocket a bit. Now if only Polyphony Digital would give us some sort of hope for Gran Turismo then we'd sleep a little better at night.

Japanese gamers will also have the option of purchasing the Champagne Gold PSP bundle that comes with Monster Hunter Portable 2nd, with an assortment of other goodies. Capcom has yet to thumb a US release for MHP: 2nd. We'll keep you posted on any further updates.
