Media Create Japanese Hardware Sales: 1/29-2/04

  To go hand in hand with yesterday's software numbers, Media Create has released the hardware numbers. There is an overall drop in sales for every console, in comparison to last week's numbers. The DS is still the undeniable sales champ as it racked in an additional 146k units. The Wii's numbers leveled nearly 20k, dropping to 65k consoles sold. The PSP's numbers dropped 4000 units to 31k. The PS3 sold just about 19k consoles - 1k unit decrease. The PS2 is just below the PS3, and the Xbox 360 continues to trail. The numbers go as follow:

   January 29th-February 4th:

   Nintendo DS Lite - 146,073
   Nintendo Wii - 65,740
   Sony PSP - 31,216
   Sony PlayStation 3 - 18,727
   Sony PlayStation 2 - 17,540
   Microsoft Xbox 360 - 6,130

   These are January 22-28th numbers:

   Nintendo DS Lite 194,526
   Nintendo Wii 83,754
   Sony PSP 35,700
   Sony PlayStation 2 20,995
   Sony PlayStation 3 19,996
   Microsoft Xbox 360 7,365
