English Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children Website Live

The English-language web site for Square-Enix's highly anticipated DVD movie, Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children, has gone live.

The site includes a brief synopsis of the film, along with an action-packed trailer.

Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children is the animated sequel to 1997's smash-hit videogame, Final Fantasy VII. Events in the film take place two years after the events that occurred in the video game. The basic story involves the protagonist, Cloud Strife, returning from retirement to track down and stop the source of a mysterious illness that's killing off the world's children.

A release date for the DVD has not been announced, but it's widely assumed that it will be published in Japan sometime in the fall, and then in North America in late 2005 or early 2006.
