Star Ocean: The First Departure - Japanese Trailer Video

  It's certainly not as popular as Square-Enix's Final Fantasy franchise, but make no mistake: there are many loyal followers of their Star Ocean series, which is why we're seeing these PSP remakes. The first, Star Ocean: The First Departure, is currently in the works and should arrive some time early next year. He's an early Japanese trailer for the game, which actually treats us to some gameplay. Those of you who have played these games in the past will immediately recognize the combat - it's a real-time/turn-based hybrid - and boy, it sure does look pretty. They're going all-out with this remake, so let's hope it comes to other territories, too!
