Forget about the slower, more strategic turn-based style of yesteryear; this Final Fantasy title is slick, fast and instantly engaging. Here's a look at an example confrontation in Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII, and as you can see, the real-time battle format looks great. Zack rips 'em up with what appears to be one special attack and a follow-up magic spell to eliminate two mechanical foes. Without any doubt, we'll get a wonderful story in this game, but we'll also get to experience a fresh and intense combat mechanic that could help to redefine this series.
