PS2 Hard Drive Revealed!

       Not only has Sony shown off a newly redesigned PS One but they have also showcased their new PS2 Hard Drive (the Japanese version). With no surprise the Japanese version of the Hard Drive is indeed external, that is due to the size of the Comm Link in the back of the PS2. The following photos that we have, show the PS2 and the hard drive side by side vertically standing via the Vertical Stand. The hard drive includes a network connection in the style of an Ethernet port. This will allow gamers to use a wide assortment of online devices such as cable modems and DSL modems.

       The Japanese version of the HDD will be available this Winter 2000 in Japan, while the US model will be redesigned and most likely be internal. No release date announcements on the HDD for the US has been made as of yet. Keep the mouse on PSX Extreme we will update on this news story as it develops further.
