The President and Chief Operating Officer of EA
revealed the reason why he decided to be PS2 only.
John Riccitiello was recently interviewed by
Forbes.com about his decisions about not planning to
release any software on the Sega Dreamcast.
In his
interview he explains how hard his 3000+ employees
are working to get the PS2 games out before the
years end, and satisfy the millions of people who
will purchase the PS2. Everybody hopes that all of
this hard work is worth it, because they have
completely decided to avoid any Sega production.
Analysts have questioned his move and have said that
the DC is making a good impact on the US audience,
so what did the Pres' of EA have to say? Just this:
"The dollar we spend on a Dreamcast game is a
dollar we don't have for our online or PlayStation
strategy.''
