PlayStation Banned in Sweden's Prisons

Here's some news out of Sweden...

Swedish papers are reporting that the Swedish Prison Service has banned PlayStation and other computer and video games in its prisons.

In the early 1990s, prisoners were granted access to computers and video games consoles, including Playstation. As the terminals and game systems became more advanced over the years, security checks revealed that prisoners were builing small mobile telephone sets into the game terminals.

"That way, a lot of information can be disseminated outside the prisons," Bjorn Linderoth head of the IT unit at the prison services said.

Several prisoners have recently been freed by armed accomplices.

Yep... slow news day...
