Def Jam: Fight for NY Goes Gold

EA passed along a note informing us that their much-anticipated fighting game, Def Jam: Fight for N.Y., has "gone gold" and will ship to retailers as planned on September 20.

Why do they send out little PR blurbs that basically say, "hey, our game is still coming out on time, just letting you know."

Anyway, for those of you enjoying the rest of your summer vacation under a rock, Def Jam: Fight for N.Y. is a fighting game that allows players to beat each other up with actual hip-hop and rap recording artists. Ludacris, Snoop Dogg, Flavor Flav, and Busta Rhymes are just some of the more than 40 artists that are selectable in the game.
