E3 2003: NCAA Football 2004 Hands-On Impressions
Once again Electronic Arts college football game is the title to compete with for every sports game franchise. It easily has the best graphics amongst every EA sports game and continues with the tradition of exhibiting an amazing college atmosphere and delivering top notch gameplay in every area. The movement on screen is seamless and the control of the game maintains the reputation that this series has heralded over the past couple years. In terms of pure sports atmosphere, there isn’t another game that even rivals it. I may be somewhat biased towards college football in general and you may believe professional sports are the only way to go, but it’s difficult to deny NCAA Football 2004 the deserved attention that is has rightfully acquired.
As stated, the graphics in the game are gorgeous and outdo Madden Football 2004 in my opinion. The textures are wonderfully executed and player movement just adds to the beauty of the game. EA’s coveted gameplay has been slightly improved, but also don’t expect anything drastic. The control interface is very sleek and easy to navigate, but that’s always been the case with EA football titles. The game isn’t an enormous addition to last year’s version, but with as good as NCAA Football 2003 was last year, 2004 just expands in every area to comprise another contending sports game of the year.
