MLB SlugFest 2006 Announced

Midway Games announced MLB SlugFest 2006 is in development and scheduled to ship in Spring 2006 for the PlayStation 2 and the Xbox. The game will be nice and cheap as well, only running $19.99.

"MLB SlugFest 2006 is the only adrenaline–style, officially MLB licensed baseball game on the market and we're very excited to be able to offer gamers the latest in the SlugFest franchise at a great value," said Steve Allison, chief marketing officer, Midway.

Midway's newest offering of its over–the–top baseball game will feature a new create–a–player mode, updated team rosters and stadiums, along with a new library of signature animations and collisions.

I was under the impression that due to the exclusive deal they signed with MLB, only 2KGames could make 3rd party baseball games, but what do I know, I just work here.
