PSP Firmware 2.0 Update Delay

If you were left scratching your head wondering where your 2.0 update was for the PSP, you're not alone. SCEA has addressed the delay in a post via their message boards.

The PSP Firmware 2.0 Upgrade for the North American market will be available during the week of August 15th, instead of on August 12, as previously reported.

Designed to compliment the comprehensive entertainment experience of games, movies, music, photos and wireless connectivity provided by the revolutionary portable device, the firmware 2.0 upgrade will allow users to take advantage of the unitís built-in Wi-Fi capability and wirelessly search the Internet from Internet Access Points or hot spots. The firmware 2.0 upgrade will be available for download directly to a PSP using a Wi-Fi connection or downloaded to a PC from and transferred to a PSP through a USB cable.

So the wait's not too much longer. We'll let you know as soon as the update is available.
