PSP Firmware 3.0 Rumors Abound
A couple weeks ago, a set of screenshots, later proven to be fakes, was posted, showing all kinds of new features present in the pending firmware upgrade. Now we're back on the hampster wheel with another group of pictures purporting the same thing, but the fundamental features are different. Here's the rundown:- SonyMail, an e-mail client
- SonyPaint, a doodling program likely using the analog nub
- SonyOrganizer, for all those PDA functions
- AlarmClock, the DS has one, why not the PSP?
- Writepad, for notes
- ConsoleSecurity, protection against web-based features and personal info
- Connect to MusicStore, access content from Sony's music service
- PS3 HD, connect to the PS3's hard drive to transfer data
Of course, all of this is unconfirmed and while it would certainly be a huge update, all of these new applications coming at once is a bit suspect.
Check out some of the screens here. You can decide for yourself if they're real or not.
