Toca Race Driver 2 Annouced for PSP

TOCA Race Driver 2 has been announced by Codemasters, and they promise it won't be a watered down version of the PS2 game. Performance cars, damage, real physics, and driver AI that adapts to suit your level of racing expertise are just some of the features they are touting for the game.

Toca has 15 different motorsports including GT Sports Car Racing, Street Racing, the touring cars of the DTM and V8 Supercars championships, Global GT Lights, Rally Cross, Formula Ford, Open Wheel Grand Prix, Classic Car Racing, Super Truck racing, Stockcar Oval Racing, Ice-Racing, Convertible Racing, and Performance Cars.

The game features a large selection of cars, inlcuding: a Ford GT and accelerate onto racing the Jaguar XJ220 AMR, Aston Martin V12 Vanquish, Koenig Competition 2002, Nissan Skyline, Ford 2000 SVT Mustang Cobra R and many more.

Anyone dissapointed with the emptiness of the Ridge Racer courses will be happy to here that in any given race there will be up to 21 cars competing for position. When you want to race against some real drivers, there's LAN-style play for up to 8 players over WiFi.

Toca Race Driver 2 is due in Q2 of 2005.
