Gran Turismo
Gran Turismo is one of the BEST video games for Playstation, in that case video game HISTORY. First off, 166 high revvin' super machines are at your disposal on eleven heart pounding tracks. In arcade mode you grab a car and race against five other cars, all of the same class of-course (a Viper vs. a Civic wouldn't be fair), There's small, compact cars, sport coupes, and ultra high speed monsters that you race in and against to unlock all of the tracks and all of the cars ,which are locked when you first begin, and some secrets.   Simulation mode is the grand-daddy of racing simulations. You start out with 10,000 credits to buy a car, then you get your license, and now the fun begins. B-Class is the first license which gets you into lower paying, smaller races against really novice drivers. Once you get A-Class you buy better cars, get more money in races, and face harder drivers. International A-Class puts you up against the most aggressive drivers in super modified, road hugging cars with up to 900 horsepower under the hood. If you beat these guys you get really nice FREE cars ,unlike the crappsters that they give away in B and some of the A-Class races, and lots and lots of money.   The games graphics are amazing. The replays are so realistic that even if you sucked while racing you look better there than you thought you did. The cars sounds differ from what muffler you use to your transmission even how much horsepower you have. Although that thud you get whenever you hit something gets so friggin' annoying.   Here's how GRAN TURISMO stacks up:   GRAPHICS   Only word is amazing : 10.0   SOUND   Music from Garbage : 9.9   and the Chemical   Brothers top off   superb sometimes   repetitive sounds   GAMEPLAY   Control is phenomenal, : 10.0   and especially   stimulating with the   dual shock analog   controller   LASTING APPEAL (definitely a collectable)   1 Week : 10.0   1 Month : 9.9   6 Months : 9.5   1 year : 9.0   2 years : 8.0   MY FINAL VERDICT   Rent it: Take it for a test drive, you'll   be surprised   Buy it: Definitely, it's a "greatest hit" without the cover   Why: Saying it's a masterpiec |
