Need For Speed : Hot Pursuit User Review

Well, to start off, the full game boasts plenty events for both a Cop and Racer. The events, usually, have a select choice of cars and the routes taken are quite fun to drive.

The AI is poor, as a Racer the Cops are far too weak and can be taken out very easily. As a Cop the racers seem slightly more capable, using jammers and spikes more than you would expect.

Online play is more fun than trying to beat a friend's time, I should point out, Autolog was publicised heavily but is not the core of the game to me. Beating a friend's time is rewarding and challenging but playing online in direct competition with others is much more entertaining.

I wish Autolog could do more than just put times against you. A ghost car of a lap time could be racing with you to let you know how you are doing.

The graphics are generally good but occasionally the texture quality is poor and the damage is similar on each car. The framerate is what, sort of puts me off the game. Travelling at 260MPH in a Veyron does not feel like it. The sense of speed is only visible when using Nitrous or Turbo. 60FPS is worth more than a few higher resolution textures.

The Cars in the game are excellent, wonderfully rendered and also they sound great.
