Uncharted 2: Among Thieves User Review

Who would have ever expected that the makers of the nostalgic experience that is Crash Bandicoot would create the single best PS3 game to date? Naughty Dog struck gold with their sequel to the 2007 GotY Uncharted: Drake's Fortune. Not only do they provide a beautifully executed single-player experience, but near everything you experience in single player is carried over to the online multiplayer. The sheer detail and animations implanted into these gorgeous experience is absolutely stunning, and there are points where you will just have to stop and take in the seemingly endless scenery. the voice acting is amazingly done, and all the music and background sounds fit in perfectly with every scenario. Backed up with a powerful story and captivating gunplay, melee combat, and exploration mechanics, this game is not far short of perfection.

However, every game comes with its downfalls, and although this game have very few, I can't help but notice them. There are some control issues that provide for some accidental deaths, which while trying to attain some trophies can be rather annoying. Also, with the online play you will sometimes find that you can't climb things correctly, or you'll roll when trying to hide or vice versa. One more quip I have with the online is that sometimes your gun just wont fire. This can be cause by poor cover, or just trying to fire too quickly after reloading. Other than these small details, I have nothing bad to say about the game. It provides a good challenge on higher difficulties, and looking for the treasurs is a very exploration-heavy task, which I know a lot of people love. Truly this is a spectacular game, and should not be overlooked by anyone who owns a PS3.
