The result?
A solid platforming game that doesn't disappoint in any aspect.
For the first time since the first 20 hours of Skyrim, I found myself sitting there, playing a game till 4am in the morning without even realising what the time was, and I never got bored once.
It is true what they say, it is a Adult Zelda or GoW/Zelda or DMC/Zelda hybrid, but that's not to say that is a bad thing. They took all the elements of those games that worked and put them into one post-apocalyptic slash-fest, featuring a couple of the most bad-ass demons and protagonist of all time.
War is set on a path of vengeance, and ultimately finding the truth, with a few final twists to boot.
Combat: The combat can get repetitive, but you have several moves that can change it up if you choose to use them, I honestly forgot about them most of the time. The Chaos mode seems a bit OP, but I would imagine one of the four horsemen releasing his full power and rage, kind of would be?
Puzzles: Are surprisingly challenging at times, and they are well paced.
Graphics: The game itself is 2 years old now, and you can tell when you look at it, but they still hold up well against games of similar style this year.
Sound: The voices and effects feel fitting with the style and essence of the game. Nothing seems to stand out, it all just fits in together.
Replayability: There isn't much to keep you coming back, unless you like replaying games just for fun. You may have to play it more then once if you want the Platinum however.
TL:DR
The game is very entertaining, and a great action-adventure entry into this generation. I would definitely recommend this to anyone who likes action-adventure.
