Metal Gear Solid HD Collection Sneaks Onto Vita On June 12
If you didn't pick it up last year, or you'd simply rather have such a collection available on the go, we've got good news.
You don't have much longer to wait before you can put the Metal Gear HD Collection on your slick new PlayStation Vita. Konami has announced the release date: June 12.
Just remember that you don't get the PSP iteration, Peace Walker, which was included in the console release. You do, however, get the high-definition remakes of Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty and Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater, along with the super cool feature known as "Transfarring," which lets you transfer save data between the PS3 and Vita. As for portable-specific features, the Collection will take advantage of the touchscreen and rear touchpad, as these will be used to zoom in on cut-scenes, peek around corners, cycle through weapons, and even interrogate enemies.
If you'd like to read the analysis of last year's package, go right ahead. Obviously, it's well worth your time.

I've been so busy that I never even got the chance to even play it yet, and except for just D/L'ing Escape Plan, Motorstorm RC, and a few apps I went to turn it on Tuesday to buy some more Motorstorm RC vehicles & I couldn't even get it even turn on anymore.
Plus I could never get AT&T's screwed-up G3 data plan to work either.
Anyway, I got my money back took it back from Gamestop & I'll try again in about a year or so only after all the bugs are worked out.
But since GS won't take back my 3 Vita games as new because I took their wrappers off, I've now going to sell them & I thought I'd give our PSXE member's 1st dibs before I sell them elsewhere.
Wipeout 2048 for $25 (lists for $39.99)
Hot Shots Golf for $25 (lists for $39.99)
Uncharted:Golden Abyss $35 (lists for $49.99)
FYI, just email me here at my PSXE email address & we can work out the details.... Saint@mailextreme.com

After it bricked, I had it on the charger for 5 hours thinking that the battery might've just drained while sitting for a week. And I kept trying to turn it on from there with no results as it refused to turn on.
So how could I gotten it to go into recovery mode if I couldn't get it to even turn on????

I just checked YouTube as suggested, and it does seems there is a quick fix for a bricked Vita(but as I already returned my Vita in to GameStop, I can't try it out now.)
Anyway, for those who might wind up with their Vita bricking later on, according to the video I just watched, the simple instructions to recover your Vita, are ...
Hold down the PS button, the right/trigger, & the power button all at the same time until the recovery screen comes on.

out of all the games that have had a HD remake this is by far the least improved version!
the controls have not even been updated so there still sluggish and freaking useless!
not to mention the frantic screen tearing and constant frame rate drops!

And yes being put in widescreen is a mircale, I still cannot figure out why they weren't before hand. Not only that, but they have also spread the cutscenes to fit full screen like on MGS4 as opposed to the old cropped aspect ratio, making the ctuscenes look even more fantastic.
These are not remakes, you do realise that right, they're meant to be re-released in HD, which is precisely what they are. If anything the frame rate has improved, do you remember how back some of MGS3's cutscenes were back on the PS2?
I was very content with the HD Collection, I'm suprised to hear you have experience such problems, I certainly didn't and had a blast playing through the whole series again.
