Assassin's Creed: Liberation Brings A Female Killer To Vita
Hey, want another big reason to own the PlayStation Vita?
It's a standalone tie-in to the upcoming blockbuster for consoles, Assassin's Creed III. Game Informer subscribers at NeoGAF have filled everyone one in on the leaked information: Assassin's Creed III: Liberation for the Vita will feature a female protagonist and launch alongside ACIII for PS3, 360 and PC this October.
Set in the mid-to-late 18th century, we will play as Aveline, another "mixed heritage assassin" (like ACIII's Connor), and she will explore a variety of locales ranging from New Orleans to Mexico. Boasting "true Assassin's Creed gameplay" with an emphasis on the large, free-roaming environments for which this franchise is so well known, Liberation should be a portable triumph. They're even saying loading screens won't hinder our progress.
If you're wondering, this story will apparently have no connection to Desmond, the "real" main character in the series. Also, another interesting tidbit: Aveline and Connor will meet, which could shed more light on Connor's history and upcoming experiences in ACIII. Obviously, you can expect Ubisoft to officially lift the lid on this one at their E3 press conference on Monday, 3 p.m. PST, so stay tuned.

My god, can I get more swamped with Assassin's Creed games? LOL I just started playing Brotherhood last week! Anyway, I'm definitely picking this and AC III, though I still have to go finish Brother and start with Revelations.

The main reason people would buy a system would be the games they cannot find anywhere else (e.g. Gravity Rush, Escape Plan, and this game). If Sony or the other devs would port the games on the PS3 so soon, people would not buy the Vita knowing that the game will eventually find its way on the PS3.
