Sony: Balance For This Year's TGS To "Shift Towards Vita"
Sony is dedicated to the PlayStation Vita. They've made that abundantly clear.
And you'll see more evidence of that at this year's Tokyo Game Show, apparently. In speaking to Famitsu (as cited by Andriasang), Sony Computer Entertainment CEO Hiroshi Kawano said the next Game Heaven event focusing on the new portable would be held "soon."
Further, he said he thinks the balance for this year's TGS will shift to the Vita, which sort of implies the PS4 won't be the center of attention...as if anybody was really expecting that. Anyway, the more attention for the Vita the better; software is critical and the fall is shaping up nicely. Assassin's Creed III: Liberation and Call of Duty: Black Ops Declassified could be huge, and there's the rumor that Medal of Honor: Warfighter is also Vita-bound.
Of course, many gamers are waiting on news of a price drop, too. Maybe if the focus will be on the Vita at TGS, that's when we can expect news of a price cut...? You never know.

I don't remember EVER seeing what the 1st Game Heaven was, and I searched online for a full week.
Hell when I asked Ben at the time, even he didn't know .
So I hope Sony doesn't play "Hide & Seek" with the 2nd GH too.

but why TGS, whats happening at gamescom?
they really need to bring some unique new franchises onto the vita!
it has plenty of sequels and games you can already play on the ps3, we really need some unique games you can only find on the vita!
and unique rare experiences at that, things like gravity daze such a cool game!
since david cage is rumoured to be working on several games besides beyond, wouldent it be cool if he was working on something specific for the vita?

Take Monster Hunter Freedom 3 (or Monster Hunter Portable 3rd), it has a huge following outside Japan. I'm not sure how big it is in the US but here in the Philippines, it is big. It is right up there with Tekken here in the city I live in. And we can only play with the Japanese version because there has been no attempt at a localization.
